A Lekki resident took to Twitter to raise an alarm over the water in the community which is reportedly “giving many thrush”.
According to @Rene_noire, everyone around her seem to get the fungal infection after using the water.
“If you live in LEKKI be careful using the water to wash your vagina. Everyone around me got thrush and I’m sure I’ll get it next 😩.”
Thrush is a yeast infection of the mouth and throat, characterized by patches of white. Thrush is usually a minor and easily addressed problem, but it can be more serious for those with immune system disorders, such as AIDS. Treatment is with antifungal medications.
